I wear many hats. One of them is writer.
Another hat is researcher & advocate. I’ve done that for 10 years, currently at the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG). I work on tech issues.
My research has appeared in most major media outlets, especially the thing about the ChatGPT-powered teddy bear that we found would talk about sexual fetishes in graphic detail. I was on The Today Show for that. A stuffed bear that talks about sex being the biggest thing in my career is not what I would have picked for myself, but sometimes the work chooses you.
I’m also the editor of Enough, a new magazine dedicated to anti-consumption (launching September 1 of 2026).
